Escape the stress and dread of planning a birthday party

A thrilling experience that encourages bonding and communication between peers is a sure bet for any birthday party.

Happy birthday, dear Donald!

Happy birthday to you!

Melodious lyrics, creating an atmosphere of joy.

Unfortunately, sometimes, you may have felt a bit of relief as well. Sure, you’re very happy for little Donald, but you’re also a bit relieved, perhaps?

A bit relieved that everything went according to plan.

A bit relieved that the participants (i.e., the kids) had a great time.

A bit relieved that it’s gonna be a year before you need to start planning the birthday party again?

Believe me, I get it.

That’s something that a lot of adults go through at some point in their lives.

But not you.

Not any more.

Because I’ve got news for you.

There’s a way you can arrange a very exciting and fun event for the birthday. It shouldn’t take long to put together and you can be sure that the kids will have a wonderful time.

I’m talking about escape rooms, of course.

What about escape rooms makes them such a good fit for birthday parties?

Escape rooms are child-friendly

I don’t know if you know this, but escape rooms are not adults-only.

Yes, some escape rooms have scary themes that may not be suitable for younger children but those rooms clearly state these facts on their website.

In my experience, most escape room companies have missions that children can play.

Some companies even have the facility to tweak their games to make them child-friendly – maybe by switching off some special effects that children would not enjoy or bypassing some tasks that are not kid-friendly.

Here at Fox in a Box Orange County, we’ve had children as young as 4 play our games (of course accompanied by their parents) and enjoy them.

Escape rooms make it very easy to arrange events

We escape rooms love having you over. And so we tend to make the booking process a breeze.

If not a lot of kids will be attending the birthday party, you can just book rooms via the normal booking process

  • Go to the escape game(s) you want to book
  • Click on the booking link which takes you to the booking system
  • Save the date and enter your details

Boom! It’s done.

If your group is larger, say 20-30 people, you should first check out the group booking policy of the escape room in question to see whether your group is large enough to avail of a group booking.

Here at Fox in a Box Orange County for example, group booking is allowed for groups of 36 or more people.

Why did Fox in a Box Orange County peg group booking at 36 people?

Because we were established 6 year ago and we are a total of 6 people running the show.

6 times 6 is 36.

And yes, I just made that up.

Booking an escape room will make you the hero

The escape room concept is fun. It encourages bonding of peers while they work together to crack the mission. It’s a thrilling party, to be sure.

A lot of people still don’t know what escape rooms are all about.

And those who do an escape room for the first time, tend to just LOVE it. It’s not for nothing that escape rooms are a sure entry to any list of family-friendly activities that everyone will enjoy.

In particular, most of the bulk booking for escape rooms tends to be corporate bookings for team building exercises. Escape rooms for team building exercises is a favorite among companies, in case you didn’t know.

The concept of an escape room group booking for a birthday party (or other kinds of personal events) is still a developing idea.

So if you do book an escape room for a birthday party, ten to one, your idea will be selected as the top birthday party idea of 2019.

And you will not be sitting on the sidelines

You can book escape missions for the parents as well. Remember, it’s a group booking. The more the merrier!

The days of adults sitting on the sidelines while the children have all the fun at birthday parties are over!
